How long has he been externally pipped? What is your humidity? I'm not seeing any yellowing of the outer membrane in these pictures; it looks white like it should be.

I was worried about the inner membrane around him, it looks yellowish.
He's been pipped for about 24 hours, and my humidity is 65-70.

Never hatched geese but that membrane looks good. It will be a dry brown color if the humidity falls out. Keep the incubator CLOSED. That is one heck of a pip.....

24 hours isn't too long for a goose. I'd give it 12 more hours before starting to worry.
Sounds good!

Is it bad? Like will he still be able to turn and zip or will he just have to keep pecking through?

Don't know... I've only ever hatched quail but I've never seen a pip where the shell was actually removed. Could be common....

For my quail it can be 24 hours between a pip and zip

Its said that they can take as long as 24 hours and in some cases 36 hours! Hes probably absorbing his yolk, as long as hes breathing he will be ok for now. Chicks can go without food for several hours, their yolk provides for them even after the hatch.

If it comes down to it, here is a helpful article about assisting. :hugs

Looking at the pictures, he doesnt look malpositioned. Like the other folks said, keep the bator closed, he will do what he needs to do;)

Ah! Thank you so much!
I just see his little beak, why does hatching have to be so stressful?
