It’s insanity, I know, I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Took the geese outside on this wonderful day, I believe Hooch slipped! The geese and Hooch looked quite shocked!

I felt like the chickens were being left out as I don’t have many pics of them! Here’s some of the chickens.

I never realized how entertaining they are! I will admit I’m ready for the CXs to be done. It’s a bit challenging making sure everybody gets a bite to eat with those brutes around! I pile food in about 6 spots and stand guard to regulate! I feed 3x daily in small amounts. I would like for them to forage as much as they can. They are free range birds so they always have options. They have yet to conquer the whole area, it’s about a football field, give or take. They like it under the coop. There has been a buffalo gnats out lately, they will kill a chicken in a day if it’s a bad swarm! Yikes!

Amazing!!!! How on earth do you find the time in the day to feed yourself, sleep, and take care of all of them and that? Amazing! They all look the picture of clean good health also I would like to add. I also want to ask a possibly dumb question. Are those ducklings under water with that turtle or tortoise? I couldn’t tell?? So cute. Do you want to trade a grown adult child for a few of those bunnies? Or ducklings? Better be a bunny or two. I don’t have a good water setup. Just an over grown pond and an ungrounds pool so no good water source for ducks. I have chickens but no duck babies. Simply amazing. What is your feed bill a month? It must be astronomical unless you grow some of it. But don’t answer that. That is a nosy and rude question and I don’t like to be asked those type of questions myself. Ignore that. I don’t usually do that. Forgive me. I’m still amazed though.

We are living off a savings right now so I haven’t been going to work, I have all day to tend. Those chicks are not underwater, they were in with the tortoise temporarily. Ducks and geese IMO are easier to care for than the chickens, we are actually going to probably downsize for winter, either eat some or sell some. Trade a grown adult child?? I dunno about that! I’m an adult child myself! Sounds like trouble brewing. The pond that we have is really icky, I just make sure to have ample clean water. I have pools and garden ponds i change on a schedule so there is always a clean one.
