What is Your Favorite Christmas Dish? (PARTY!)

Some day I would like to try this, it sounds delicious!

:drool Yummy! Maybe I'll be brave and try making it this Christmas.
It's really not that difficult to make - the big key is not to overcook the squid or it gets chewy.
And definitely try the beef Wellington - is really rich with the pate but so worth it for a special occasion. I use the joy of cooking recipe.

Green bean casserole :drool

I have to admit green bean casserole is my go-to for both Thanksgiving and Christmas - I deliberately don't make it any other time of the year so it always feels "special" to have it. I agree, skip the Campbell's version and make your own sauce, it's not much extra work but so much tastier.

My current favorite Christmas dishes are rotkohl (German braised red cabbage) because it just screams Christmas to me visually and in flavor profile, and this andouille and collard stuffing recipe attributed to Marcus Samuelsson: https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/andouille-bread-pudding

An interesting combo of flavors! :drool

It is a nice fruity citrus compliment to ham for sure.

I have no idea the origin. My grandmother used to make it at Christmas. It was a very long time after she passed before I found the recipe.

Edited because autocorrect isn't.
