Ok, it looks like a lot of you have made homemade Bators. What is yours like? If it's something I can do for Cheap, and Not to hard....
For those of you with Homemade Bators, what are your hatchrates like? Did you buy a auto turner? Or hand turn? If you hand turn, how many times a day?

Me and my husband made simple styrofoam cooler but could not get temps to stay steady lots of adjusting so we made one out of an actual reusable coolerput a light bulb in it drilled a few holes with a cover that you turn to open or close holes a computer fan and a shelf for the water bowl to sit on so you have more space for eggs holds temp and humidity almost perfect worked so good we made two one for setting and one for lockdown used plexy glass for window the first 3 pics are the first one and the last 2 are the second one. Super easy to make.

I know I will at least have 20 dozen. Probably around 30 dozen with all the duck and other eggs.

Set day almost over does everybody have theirs eggs in? I laid 5 today for WED but have a total of 17 with different hatch dates Sooooo eggciting lol

Yep mine are all set. My first 18 set (last Friday morning) are doing well with what looks like 12 or possibly 13 still growing. I expect a couple to quit before hatch since Seramas are so delicate and a pain to hatch, but I love them I got the other 29 set just after midnight last night, so they are almost exactly a week behind the first ones. I'll have babies hatching all around World Egg Day ^..^

jennyworley35, that's basically how I did it only smaller. I'm now fixin to do a larger cooler, fact I think I'm gonna work on it right now Gonna hatch my serama eggs in the new one when they arrive BTW I like your hole opener/closer

Okay, sorry I haven't been around lately. Been busy, but it's nice to see you all have taken some initiative in my absence.

Pictures will be posted on a byc page anonymously with a number next to it. This is to keep it fair and prevent favoritism. Winner is decided by votes in a poll later on and voting will be open to all of BYC!
