This is the main inspiration for my own hot climate, Open Air coop build. Fabulous coop, clear plans, and great build photos.

Great information.

I'm using this to inspire the brooding arrangements in the coop I'm currently building.

A nice look at the evolution of a system according to your changing needs and the development of your flock. A really top-flight shed conversion and good photos of the setup.

Useful information, well-explained with good photos.

Thanks for sharing a technique that's less commonly known -- and badly needed by people trying to add ventilation to coops that have no roof overhangs. :)

All this goes to say: don’t judge the gender of your chicks TOO quickly. Just wait and see how things play out.

All good information and this is the best. We should indeed cultivate patience.

Just the info I needed as I'm in the process of expanding the flock. The only thing that would make it better would be some suggestions about how to create useful coding systems.

So much useful information presented with clarity and good photos.

I just re-read it as I'm in the process of my first integration and it's becoming more than just theory.

Very nice use of space and great to see such generous ventilation. Wonderful build photos! I particularly like the fact that you updated the article with lessons learned as the seasons changed.

The only thing this article lacks is plans.

Great article with fabulous plans and build photos!

I would suggest that anyone using these well-presented plans in a hot climate skip the soffit and fascia boards and use hardware cloth to create soffit vents and to also either use a ridge vent, larger gable vents, or both. :)
