Great buy on a shed and reasonable cost to convert it to a coop. Chicken wire for the run could be an issue due to predators. It would be nice to see some finished photos (especially of the inside).
If anyone knows how to raise poultry in cold weather, it's Alaskan (just look at those photos!). Very good tips on how to keep your poultry comfortable during winter.
For someone that raises a lot of chicks, a big brooder that will last over time may be the best way to go. One thing about this one...not sure how easy it is to clean out as it appears the only access is from the top.
Looks like a fine coop, wish there was more detail on how it was built (including dimensions). One thing I would change is the use of dowels for roosting...2x4's would give the birds a flatter area to roost on.
