chickens under cool dark porch & worms
Hi, I have 7 (2yr old) hens & 2 (4mth) mallards. I just found a roundworm (I think) in one (chook) hens droppings. I just finished giving all chooks valbazen. I have a 10x10 deck attatched to my house. It is 2' high, and under is red clay dirt, dark, moist and never sees sunlight. It gets...- jenfarsh

I am SO excited to share my very first egg!! My Golden Comet "bobby" only 5 mths old...I love it! Poor girl she was so tired afterward. I never even got the laying feed!! Omgosh I should probably run out and get some! And that calcium stuff.... I was not expecting this so soon...- jenfarsh

I figured they may have been Easter chicks....but anyway, one is beautiful and healthy(ish) and one has spraddle leg. My neighbor knocked on the door...with two tiny chooks that had been thrown out in a cardboard box on a back road :-( soaking wet and starving, dehydrated. What I don't know/see is easy to forget about. But soaking starving chicks....no way. I set them up with heat lamp in a small coup...what...- jenfarsh

It's going to rain all week in greenville! Garden will love it...but my chooks are not! Do your chickens like the rain? I find mine hiding under the deck or dashing back to the coop...poor little birds.- jenfarsh
