Welcome to my BYC page! I am the proud mother of 6 year old twin girls and married to a wonderful, loving and tolerant husband!! We live in Pueblo West, Colorado which is kind of like a suburb of Pueblo if that's what you want to call it. It's more like the desert if you ask me but I love it...
I have a problem with mice not rats but really afraid to put poison out because if one dies in the coop and the chickens eat it then they might get sick or die from the poison. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Went and saw this movie last night with a friend. Absolutely one of the best movies I have ever seen!! I don't purchase movies to keep but this one I will!!! Just curious if anyone else had went to see it?
Now I remember hearing about the food dye test quite a while back. A lot of my girls are pretty skittish so I can't imagine traumatizing them that much trying to chase them and catch them and then put dye on their vents. Think I will leave well enough alone. I will just comfort myself knowing...
So I haven't canned in over 10 years or so and got two bushels of apples. I thought I would make applesauce and spiced apples as it would be something easy to transition back into canning. Boy was I wrong!!!!!! Apples are not easy by any means. I will do pickles and salsa any day over them...
My EE's were late bloomers as well. I think it's in their breed. Kinda curious how you know exactly which ones are not laying. I have 40 something chickens and I not quite sure how I would ever till which ones are laying and which are not without keeping watch on them all day.
Got mine and I agree with shambles. It was interesting to see some of the color combinations. Some I would have never thought of doing myself. Kinda makes you think outside of the box. Can't wait to put them together!!
Talked to the mail lady today as she just happens to be my friend. She said she put a package in the box today but I have been feeling quite under the weather today so didn't feel like venturing out there. Will try and remember to check it in the morning and holler if they are truly there.
I would so love to do this and was hoping that it would fall in the time frame that I do my weekend at the lodge. It gives me three whole days to do nothing but sew. Unfortunately this ends just before it. We are going the weekend of November 11-13 and that falls just beyond the timeline...
I got two bushels of apples and going to attempt to get back into canning by doing some applesauce and apple butter. Any hints or suggestions to make it easier than the book says it is?
This happened to my friend and she thought she would be okay but it tore her cornea and it healed back wrong with scar tissue. She had to have surgery to remove the scar tissue and may still have to have additional surgeries. I never put my chickens close to my face and don't allow my children...
@ Kassaundra I am going to do it pretty much like shown I think. Don't want to get complicated. I thought I might mix in some black feathers. I will let her decide. Her twin wants to be a cheerleader and that works out awesome because her cousin is a cheerleader and has been for many years...
I will find my confirmation receipt tomorrow and see if I can find out where mine are at. I swear the anticipation is killing me already!!!
I WANT MY SQUARES!!!! NOW!!! Ok Acres just kidding but I am really really excited to see what I get!!
Oh and on a much cuter and funnier...
Went to the PO to mail today and they were having major computer issues. I was patient and they got it fixed and mine are mailed. I got delivery confirmation for this end but they wouldn't do it for coming back. Acre I stuck a dollar in there for the delivery confirmation coming back if you...
I know this sounds like a stupid question but what kind of envelope do we use for the SASE? Is everyone using a Priority Mail envelope and just folding it in half to mail to you? I hate to do a manila envelope as the postal tends to shred them!
