Could be an early crow. I've had chicks crow as young as four days old and it is a trill of sorts, sounds sort of like "buh-REEEET". Keep track of that blonde one and let us know if it turns out to be a cockerel.
Well, that's one. LOL. In all my reading on this thread, I see so many cockerel-heavy hatches, I was beginning to wonder if it was just an Icelandic trait, the only one that was the same across the board!
I think most would say they are small to medium, but I'm not the Icelandic expert. Most small bodied birds do not lay a large egg, though there are exceptions like the Leghorn.
I'm not sure about them all, no, but the Egyptian Fayoumi does, per numerous articles, which is one reason it was brought to the U.S. to test its genetics for clues. Seems logical to me that it cannot be the only one.
Here is one such blurb:

Hi, Icelandic fanatics! I still read here from time to time. To Mary: I may still end up having Icelandics in the future. I've been participating in discussions on Marek's and disease resistance in general on other threads and upon reading repeatedly that the Egyptian Fayoumi is highly resistant...
I've been enjoying the youtubes of a person named Renee who calls herself Michigansnowpony on there. She is replacing her nasty EE rooster with an Icelandic rooster. My DH called my attention to her videos when he was watching her canning something. Is she someone on here, by any chance? Did I...
Mary, I'm sorry you have to go back to Square One, but I can see that's it's probably for the best. Sometimes, that's the only way to solve a genetics issue with chickens.
Hi, Icelandic fanciers! I'm sorry I've lost track of this thread, but I saw Mary mentioned "rebuilding" her Icelandic flock. Did something bad happen? I can't remember on what page I left off.
Oh, nvm, I think I found it...
You know, if I was starting from scratch or had just a few chickens left, I think I definitely would do that. I would want only roosters of this type and I'd want them to be able to free range all day, most every day, not have to be penned as much as my separated groups are. They are such...
Oh, absolutely you must!
thebirdguy, I love Royal Palm and Blue Slate turkeys. Maybe one day I'll have a turkey or two around here. And I want my guineas back, too, dang it.
Nice pens, thebirdguy! Your Marge looks like my three poufy head sisters, but in white when ours were black, may they rest in peace, all Silkie crosses. Loved those three precious hens and we miss them terribly.
Hi, Icelandic aficionados! I still check in from time to time to see how much fun...
