I'm posting for a friend of mine. I recently gave her three two month old hens to add to her existing flock of three month old hens and two roosters. She has tried to introduce the new hens to the flock but the two roosters immediately attack the newbies. She tried putting them in an adjacent...
I'm looking to increase my guinea flock. I have three and would like 6-8 more. Anyone have guineas or fertilized guinea eggs? I'm located in Nicholas County but willing to travel. Has anyone who has been to the swaps in Clarksburg or Weston seen any guineas there?
I have a couple chickens that are coughing/sneezing and making a gurgling sound. I have found on BYC that it could possibly be worms or a bacterial infection. Does anyone have any diagnosis/ treatment advice?
Thanks! I hope it goes well. A lot of people confuse Cross Lanes with where I live Keslers Cross Lanes near Summersville Lake. I wasn't sure which one you meant :)
My second batch of duck eggs are in the process of hatching (the first didn't go so well). I've had one pip and several others are rocking and I can here faint peeps. I'll be trying my hand at chicken eggs next. Hoping they go better than the ducks. I am getting some silkie chicks in May to add...
Not yet. I ordered them on the 4th. They said they would send me a ship date within 3-5 business days. Do you know how many you and your friends want yet?
MitziM, you all can just take however many you want. I will either keep or sell what you and your friends don't want. Just didn't want you to feel obligated to take more than you really wanted because there are 25.
Yes, the min order is still 25. I went ahead and ordered them. I thought even if you didn't want them I could try to sell the extras. They are supposed to send me a shipping date in a couple days. I'll let you know as soon as they tell me. If it would happen to be while you are gone I can hold...
Well, I checked with TS and turns out you can only get a bantam assortment and no guarantee you would get a silkie. So, I found them at efowl.com but they are $4 per chick so I didn't know if you were still interested or not?
I have some duck eggs in the incubator that have been in for about a week. My power went out last night and came back on this morning :(. I think it was out for about 12 hrs. The temp was in the 70s when I checked on it this morning. Anyone have any idea what might happen to the eggs/ducklings...
I called yesterday. They said $2.00 per chick. I will stop by today and place the order. I will keep whatever you and your friends don't want but I would at least like 6-8. They can only be ordered straight run. I'll keep you posted.
