    IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

Well, I got 1 out of the 2. And 3 out of the next 4. The chicks who didn’t make it were malpositioned but my number of those went way down considering I’ve been having ALL malpositions for some reason the last few hatches. So, I’m happy. I have 4 more of my planned due to hatch this week coming...

    Afraid to eat eggs now.....

My aversion after a hatch is more about “dang it, I could have hatched this one!” For a few days then I get over it. But I do understand how you feel. It will pass. Or just eat eggs when you’re not in your hatching season?

    :)

I wouldn’t on purpose. Sometimes they slip in and they hatch. Mostly they do not. And hatching can be heart breaking enough even with the best of circumstances. If you do decide to, I know a few on here have done it successfully so start there. But also do all the assisting research you can...

Yes Lord yes! I am a mom and stepmom of seven and I tell you what there are days I’d rather go hide in the chicken coop

    IA (incubators anonymous) September Hatches?

The two are still wiggling in and off. All 7 kids are here this weekend (I have 4 bonus kids) so they’ll be on 24 hour watch since they’re teens and don’t follow bedtime rules  if this small hatch goes along the well established time line of eggs from these two hens it is possible...

    turner on or off??????

From everything I see from members about shipped eggs it is advisable to not turn until day 3. And YES on pointy end down. Never put an egg intended for hatching narrow side up. Great luck to you!
