I think you mistaked my chicks for someone i was quoting but i have a friend from england what part are you from if you dont mind me asking?
Have you thought about getting another breed if you can't find a bb you could always rehome later or sell Eggs as mixed or just eat the eggs it may be quicker than holding out for a Brahma
I really believe it depends on if your purpose for keeping them. If pets/eggs I would say not necessary. If breeding in general maybe. If your wanting to breed very specific traits and or only say light brahmas then yes I would keep them separated.
