Sounds great! When should I arrive? I don't want to be too early and have to help, but don't want to be late and miss the meal.

How will you be preparing the quailies tonight?

I've got to get mine on brine. The white pair started laying. I will confirm they are girls. I'm having second thoughts on butchering. Then I look at the pile of eggs.

I have the 2 white and a male in a cage. I pulled 4 eggs out last night. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss them yesterday morning, but stranger things have happened.

Do you have amazon prime? I just watched the most bizarre, hilarious, disturbing British movie from the 90s on prime video. It's called "Mushrooms"

still just 9 but all fluffy and in brooder! one of the wrong-end pippers gave up on me!!
was an interesting afternoon however! we made plans today to banish remaining partridge to “chicken jail” until we get things figured out. when I went out to feed and make the move, I found an unexpected visitor had made it into the aviary! It was a HAWK!!! evidently divebombed straight through the netting. Luckily I interrupted him after only starting with 1 quail! let’s just say that one won’t be visiting again!!! plans are in the works to correct all the “learning curve” issues with the aviary design. hoping to start working on it most of the day Sunday.
