Vetch is toxic to non-ruminants. To be fair, many legumes must be cooked in order to be healthy food for humans. I’d probably not feed it to birds but I haven’t seen it much on our land and I don’t worry. The cows eat before the chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese anyway. Birds also seem to be pretty good about knowing what’s edible and what’s not, just imo. If it’s growing in your pens though, I’d pull it.Is vetch poisonous to quail? I've read it is not good for chickens. Looking at cover crop mixes for between my fruit trees/where my quail tractors are gonna go
