Sorry about that.
With my luck, sounds about right.
Thank you.
I too sometimes end up with cockerels of certain varieties that I wasn't planning for. It's just life. I ended up with 8 cockerels last year.

I've attempted to candle, yes. It looks like both chicks inside the eggs are fully developed, however, I don't see any movement.
Flo is doing a great job of keeping up with the chicks while still incubating the final 2 eggs. Today she got off the nest for the first time since Friday, which was my chance to take pictures of the chicks so I can track their growth. Will post pictures later today or tomorrow!
I found this auto-sexing guide on the Cackle Hatchery website. Does anyone know if this is accurate?
I have a Silver Duckwing OEGB chick, which falls into the auto-sexing breeds category, apparently. Needless to say, according to the SS below, is my "chipmunk" chick a female or male?

I posted a video on page 16 of this thread... it has a video of the Chipmunk chick, Chippy.
@MysteryChicken @cherrynberry @JustBabyMargo @Little Baby Bean @Overo Mare @TheOddOneOut
Any help is greatly appreciated! Hoping it's a pullet!

It looks like she has a little tuft in the second picture!I believe it's male.
I sex Silver Duckwing OEGBs based on coloration.
Females are darker, with well defined stripe, eyeliner, black outlined stripes, & clear arrowhead.
Males are lighter, & occasionally lack eyeliner darkness, dark lines, arrowhead sharpness.
Jelly Bean is a good example for female.

Not pure. She is a purebred OEGB, correct?
I don't have much experience sexing from down color, but just for the heck of it, I'm going with female. Just a random hit in the dark, a fun guess, basically.
Then it won't work....Not pure.
She came out of my Buff Cochin mix’ egg, but the Silver Duckwing OEGB fathered her.
Not all chipmunk chicks are sexable at hatch. Any chick that is sexable at hatch needs to be a specific cross. Then it won't work....
She has no “buff cochin mix” traits, so I’m sure it’ll work at least a little bit. Then it won't work....
No feathered feet either? She has no “buff cochin mix” traits, so I’m sure it’ll work at least a little bit.
If not, even better. Because then MysteryChicken has a chance of being wrong about it being a cockerel, lol. Not that I want Mystery to be wrong it’s just I do not need another cockerel.
No feathered feet. The rooster has the dominant traits. No feathered feet either?
Well anyways, rooting for a pullet!
