THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Wynette and I walked the entire showroom today - going row by row. If there were Barnevelders there, we couldn't find them.
First time being able to get on since Thursday!. Whew! What a show! Met a few BYCers there but most of the times I went by the BYC booth there was no one there?
but I'm sure everyone was off walking the endless miles of birds
Did better than I thought with the few Seramas I took, didn't do to well on TableTop but got BB in the incage judging with my white cockerel Romeo. It was fun overall and I cant wait til the next one!
I couldn't believe all the birds they had for sale there. Especially the huge pens of the various ducks and geese with the fishnet by it. Just kind of cracked me up LOL.
Ended up coming home with the most gold of all
Well atleast I think so. Ended up getting a pair of Yellow Golden pheasants they had there in the sales area at the last moment. Didn't realize the males tail was soooo long. I was just in awe when he pulled that boy out of the cage as he put him in the box along with his charming little girl. Down in the basement right now for quarentine but they seem so much happier on their alfalfa hay. I just can't get over how purty they both are
I don't know why my post above got all screwy with the blockquote...probably this stupid phone I am typing on!
My text should not be in a quote block, but it is.
The show was great. Congrats to everyone who came away with wins (or who came home with new birds). I had an awesome time hanging out with mame1616 and the NJ/PA crew.
My birds did fairly well..just wish I'd had time to walk the aisles and see more of the show! I feel like only saw about half of the birds in the show hall.
Now off to bed...we are only halfway home, we'll drive the rest of the way tomorrow. I'm beat!
I had a great time there! It was my first time being in a poultry show, and I was floored by the size of the place, and how much poultry there was. Took bunch of pictures too. I will post them tomorrow.
Quote: Pssst...4th pic down is a blue light brown Dutch Bantam (he's mine).
Crunchie, I fixed the post. What a beautiful bird! I took the pic because my son said he liked him. I had an Icelandic rooster with very similiar coloring and Adam stopped and pointed-out your bird to me. He said he looked like Ari. I took the pic for him and I didn't write down any info about him so when I posted, I guessed on the breed. I don't know much about bantams. Thanks for the proper information on him. Below is my Ari.
