How the latest hatchling doing?

He’s perfect I stayed up all night until he was dry and I could put him with his siblings and this morning the last egg hatched! I have 6!

I ended up with 6 eggs at lockdown and I honestly thought two didn’t make it and one hatched last night and one more this morning. I’m so happy!

Took all night and I stayed up with him until I could put him with his siblings and the last baby just hatched! It’s a real miracle. When my babes got taken from me I lost so much hope and these ducklings restored it. The happiness I have Right now is beyond amazing. Now I need any and all tips on building an awesome noeneteabke fortress for when they move outside!!!! I’ll build them a castle if I have to!

I love to let them splash in water. If I put a tiny bit of warm water in my bath tub do you think they would be ok with playing in it for about fifteen mins? Then back into their little home with the heat lamp on them

Such a happy experience for you and all of us who followed this hatch.. I look forward to seeing them all 6 that is really a miracle.

Maybe around 10 mins as long as the water stays warm and all belly buttons are healed over.​

Here are some more photos of the babies! They’re always so cuddled with each other it’s hard to get individual photos but surprisingly I can tell all of them apart! I’ve never seen a Pekin / cayuga combo but their beaks are become more tie dyed looking by the day! I’m so excited to see how they change as they grow up. I’m not sure if people breed “mutt” ducklings a lot but for me personally I find it more exciting!! I’ll get some better ones tomorrow that show off their super cool markings. Just checking— should I be taking them out and holding them daily or are they still too young to stay out of their heat lamp for that long? Right now I’ll put their food in my hand and they all come and eat right from my hand and they love nibbling at the rings I wear, it’s adorable. I only take one out at a time for about a minute to give him / her some love but then he / she starts peeping and decides it’s time to go back to the ducky pack
