Sounds like a shift in the pecking order. Adding another duck might be worse. Always add birds in groups so they have buddies. Adding one duck, that one may also pick on your lonely duck to move itself up the pecking order. A group of ducks will bond together at the bottom of the pecking order normally. A group of young ducks introduced to just your lonely duck might give lonely a chance to establish herself as dominant within the new group and then bring in the older dominant duck and silkie. .
