I have a Wyndotte hen who I think might be egg bound. She keeps straining (vent keeps contracting). She had some diarrhea, which is what alerted me to the problem. Her back end certainly seems 'full', if I palpitate the swelling, it feels almost like it's got air or fluid in there. I have separated her from the flock, given her a warm sitz bath, 2 tbs olive oil, and some liquid calcium. I made her some oatmeal, which she ate happily (though she didn't eat a ton).
I am keeping her inside tonight to make sure she is warm etc.
Does this sound like egg binding? Or something else?

PS.. One of my other hens died a week ago. No idea why, she was fine one minute, dead the next.
