There is a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and coming up this way. We'll get a ton of rain from it, I'm sure. I just hope the power doesn't go out with babies in the brooder! At least we have a woodstove.

#5 has hatched. Must be 8 or 9 more pipped in there, but not 100% sure of how many. Beth, I may have to get pics tomorrow. I've been up since really early and had to deal with lots today. They look great, though, hatching clean and easy.

First 12 are in the brooder, 2 other Delawares are zipping now. Can't tell if there are other pips yet.

Good morning, Germaine! #13 is out now, too. They are all hatching clean and on their own, which is about all you can hope for when you incubate. One of the little buggars was drinking from the waterer and eating like it's always known how and showing the others.
