Exciting New Brinsea App Controlled Incubator - Testers Journey!

Pics
I have my new hot-spot configured and set to never go into sleep mode 😃 the Connect is connected and I've played around with the app.

3 things are pretty sweet right out of the gate:

#1 - you can name your incubator! Mine is now Electro-broody :ya

#2 - the alarms show up on your dashboard, see the little blue alarm bell and the Power Failure? Super cool!

#3 - the Brinsea incubators beep while turning, I've read there's a whole button process you can do to get to a spot to turn that off, but... in the app it's a simple finger click in the options section :woot

I tried the test turn button and expected a delay, but it was quite immediate between pushing Start and the incubator turning.
Electro-broody -- that's hard to beat Tink! I love it! ❤️ Mine's still named "Incubator." I'm so boring. :gig I'll work on it though. 😊

This sounds very cool. I adore my Brinseas. I used to use them exclusively until I got into emus and ended up with a Sportsman. I still have a little Mini II for small batches of chicks.
I've never used a Mini but they seem very compact and easy to use, especially the EX models.

I always reference your chick development article every time I set eggs. @TwoCrows shared the link last year on my first hatch, and I it think it's the perfect addition to this thread:

We're going to have fluffy chicks soon! If things go as planned I'll be setting eggs on 7/27.

Hands down one of my favourite articles as well! Some of the peeps here will remember that I also referenced it daily for my most recent hatch.

I also love the assisted hatching article, I went over it so many times! Thankfully I've yet to have a chick need assistance hatching, but it was an excellent read nonetheless

We drove an hour today to my silkie breeders farm. She had said she had a deal for me on three dozen. We get there and her deal on three dozen was that I'd get four dozen! 😲 She tells me she put in nearly two dozen Salmon Faverolls and about a dozen Polish, with some of those being tolbunt. The rest are silkies. If I were to keep anything, it would only be silkies though.

This incubator is going to be full as I have some of my own. I've had 64 silkie eggs in my old Brinsea, but some of these eggs are quite large so I'll see what I can fit.

I'll be setting on Tuesday. So exciting! :celebrate
