I thought the shell was necessary to supply calcium for bone development and as the calcium gets used, the shell becomes more porous and therefore easier to pip through.

I labeled the cups so you all can see better which eggs are progressing. Eggs 1-4 are BBS Ameracauna Rooster over a Rainbow Dixie (Pioneer)Hen. And #5 is full blood Ameracauna.
