~<>~ Fight or Flight ~<>~ (A Wild Chicken Roleplay)

Sharpbill dipped his head. Then as if he could read thoughts answered River. "I don't respect our leader that much, as I feel that he is going to destroy our flock with these constant battles. But I respect my flock mates' wishes, if it's their wish for nothing to be said, nothing will be said."
River nodded coolly to him. "Thank you." She said. I will have to speak with him later. Seems a few more chickens than I believed have the same views on Goldenfeather as me, more or less.

Rip turned and fled for Wing Flock camp. What have we lost?
~~~
River walked closer to Tiny and Fast, then turned to look at Goldenfeather.
~~~
Goldenfeather got off of the limp, broken, form of Shadow, and walked away from the edge of camp and deeper into Claw Flock camp. He glanced around to see if all the Wing Flockers had fled, already making a speech for his flock in his head.

(All the Wing Flockers have fled Claw flock camp, right, @RoostersAreAwesome ?)

Sharpbill wishes he could have been in the fight, but earlier he had fallen in a hole and broken his wing.
River glanced at Sharpbill, then looked back to Goldenfeather. The air seemed to crack- even though Wing Flock was gone, and no one seemed too hurt- something very bad was going to happen. And it had something to do with Goldenfeather. She just knew it.

River stared at him, her eyes dull. Another bird who can`t think. Great. "Well," River whispered back. "who said Sunfeather knew? He wouldn`t have known if Petal didn`t tell him of her... second mate. It would make sense, I could never see such a good and noble bird like Sunfeather having been the sire to Goldenfeather. Maybe this Shadow of Wing Flock is a liar... I don`t know. But so far I think only Goldenfeather, you, Valor, Petal, and me know this. If Shadow is even Goldenfeather`s father. We best not speak of it to anyone else, especially to someone like Blaze or Tiny. They might think we are traitors, got it?"
"Yes," said Dragon, though he was annoyed that the Wing Flocker was trying to tell him what to do in his own camp, plus he thought she must think him foolish. He hated when birds who don't know what they are talking about think themselves superior, and there is no polite way in explaining it to them. If Shadow kept that secret until there was nothing to lose with it out, he might as well be a cowardly liar. And he decided this was the righteous truth.

Sharpbill turned to look at Goldenfeather. That rooster is going to kill us all, some chicken has to do something about him!
Valor studied this chicken carefully. A new chicken on his side.

(River is a Claw Flocker, and she is way higher in rank than him. And River is actually right.) River ignored him, lost in thought.

(Oh, oops. Dragon still thinks Shadow is a coward. And me too. Why do I think that? Dragon is very flock-proud, he respects Wing Flock, but thinks his flock is better, even with a manical leader. Kinda like a school thinks their school is better than the rest when it isn't, in sports and stuff.) Well Dragon listened to her, though he was fairly high ranked himself. He did not think she was annoyingly prideful, but definitely still thought that Shadow dude was a coward trying to protect his high rank until it was too late. He didn't have an ounce of annoyance with River, but he most certainly was out of patience with the late Shadow, which was just fine. Who KNOWS what he would have done to him if he wasn't already dead. (He is nothing like me, but if he was me, he'd probably give Shadow a long winded lecture.:lau) Shadow had cursed Claw Flock, with his filthy son or at least lied that he was Goldenfeather's father. Valor couldn't help but agree, but was quite out of breath, and Amethyst didn't hear it (Shadow's "barely audible whisper") but was out of breath too. :yesss: (phrased it right!)

Goldenfeather stared at Shadow, slightly dumbfounded. Then another surge of rage filled him. "I don`t have a father." He snarled.
Then Shadow stilled.
But just for the blood-lust of it, Goldenfeather tore his throat open.

River`s hackles raised as Goldenfeather ruthlessly ripped a gash in Shadow`s side. Then the wind carried their words to her.
She blinked. Goldenfeather is... half Wing Flocker?
She watched as Goldenfeather tore the Wing Flocker`s throat open, then looked back to Fast and Tiny.
(Claw) Tiny's eyes widened. It must have been necessary. To protect the flock. She thought, trying not to think that Goldenfeather had just killed that rooster in cold blood.

Fast looked away, feeling sad, but not surprised. This surely wasn't the first time Goldenfeather had killed.
(I think my post still works tho...)
(Yeah, I just wanted to say it was edited. :p)
"Shadow must be a liar!" Dragon fiercely whispered to River. "If Sunfeather wasn't his father, why would he be leader? Even if he was adopted, why would his father let him be leader? And who is his mother then?" Dragon was mad. Furious. Mad at Shadow for lying, and Goldenfeather in his own mask of lies.
Valor seemed out of breath. Dragon felt bad for him. How many days were left for him?

Sharpbill, hearing the chickens' conversation, approaches from the distance. "Yeah, well, about that last part. I kind of just heard everything you said. But you have my word, I will not tell even a lost feather on the ground about this." (sorry if that was a bad entrance)
(Claw) Fast looked over at River, Dragon, and Sharpbill, wondering what they were talking about. Probably just adult stuff. They would've included me if they wanted me to know. Fast shrugged, he didn't want to go over there just to be told to go away and find something else to do.
