First Hatch-a-long! November 2021!

November 23! Lockdown!

Egg Turner has been removed and power disconnected. Cap B has been removed and water added. Air vent fully open. Last candeling showed moving, happy, babies with good air cells. And Silkie B was rolling itself around a little after the egg turned was removed. It was the coolest thing to see! Sad I won't be seeing them move inside anymore because the whole process was throughly enjoyable and I loved watching them grow. But super excited for them to be born this week!

Egg cam is set up as well to catch any action in the next 3 days.

Absolutely! I actually think I know the two that may be a day behind just from candling over the 3 weeks so far, they usually are a hair behind the rest so we will see.

Got some videos on the chicken cam. Nothing super amazing but at 1am and 8am Silkie B rocking around! Brahma A has moved from the original position but it didn't capture the motion.

Day 20 coming to a close. It's insane how slow time is passing now that I'm impatiently waiting for a pip or peep! Nothing so far...

I moved the chicken cam to the side so I wasn't catching a glare from the window. But other than that it's been the longest day, ever.

I remember how stressful my first hatch was. I didn't have a pip at the end of day 21! The next morning I was blessed with this little dude!

Went to bed after 5am and woke up at 930 to a pip!! Little silkie A! Nothing on the rest, yet, but I'm going to start working on some Thanksgiving dishes and just try to keep my mind off it for an hour or two.

We have chirps! So far Silkie A and D are pipped, Both Brahma A & B are pipped! Yes, it's 1am and I cannot fall asleep so I'm listening to chirps and staring in awe at these guys!
