I was going to finish reminiscing about past chickens before I posted my 3 all time favorite pictures but been busy today. I also just got challenged by my brother to a game of Phase 20. Last weekend when we all played, the game lasted over 4 hours. Anyway, here are my 3 favorite pictures.

Toothless. I love this picture of him, it is still my screen saver on my computer.

I am still 20 pages behind but I refuse to rush. It's great to see old friends again. This is better than I had hoped!

Ok, the house and barn go up for sale, and we move all the horses out. It takes about a month but we also are successfully able to move the chickens from the barn to our house. I now have a tribe of 4. Yes that is right, those 2 boys, I still have them.

Wonderful! I'm loving this! ❤️

Nothing broken, lots of scrapes and bruises though. The driver fled the scene but was being followed by a family member who knew/suspected he was drunk and was following to make sure nothing happened. He stopped and had his kid in the car, who was traumatised by what happened and because the driver wasn’t breathalysed at the time of the collision, the police couldn’t pin drink-driving on him.

That's all. I'm so sorry that happen. :hugs :hugs

Ok I’m going to try this again… I see we are all taking our own approach to the celebration photos, and we all know how great I am at taking direction sometimes so, between this and my internet issues and that most my chicken photos are on my old phone.
My Favorite of Sammy:View attachment 3182780
And a few more for good measure as he’s so darn gorgeous and wonderful.View attachment 3182778
(At least I’m pretty sure this is his baby pic)
With his nephew Dean who he has raised to be alarmist as good a Rooster as he is.View attachment 3182786
And with one feather going rogue in the wind… lol ruining his perfect “majestic” pose (I swear he likes to pose for the camera!)View attachment 3182787
It's Sammy! Great photos! I love seeing him! 🥰

More 100,000 celebration photos. Tippie the chicken that brought me back to BYC after an unpleasant first forum experience. This photo is special to me because it is after about a month of Rehab, and the before photos were awful. This is when I started rescuing and rehabilitating hens with health issuesView attachment 3182789
Which of course also means I need to mention Hoppy, who was near and dear to both Sammy and I, one of my first truly free range chickens, a spunky hen and expert spider snatcher (I’d lift her up if there was a bitey spider strung across a walkway for extra spicy treats) also a solid month of rehab getting her able to walk again. These might not be the “best” pictures, but they are some of my favorites because of what they represent in my chicken tending experiences
And Hoppy too! :wee :wee :wee

It's hard to tell, but it surely could be. It is rough when they won't come out. That behavior is much like mine after an attack. ☹️
Today they ventured to the other side of the yard and hung out under the lilac bush for a while. That's quite an accomplishment after the last few days of voluntary lockdown. They still want one of us "big people" with them before they will come out, though.
