how did you tame your chickens to be this friendly with you?

In my case, it has taken a long time and even now they're not very tame. But I think maybe you were asking @micstrachan who has truly amazing relationships with the hens at her house.

Well it can be Florida type humid here, and hot! And then we will get huge storms it clears out and will cool off - this year it's really crazy with temp and humidity swings with the weather.

Now it really cool and dry, only 13C right now at 3am... Brrr!

It's been well over the 70s humidity in my home. It was 82 outside the other day

Same here, normal summer stuff. I looove how it cools down overnight. But you and I live in the same neck of the woods. We pay for it in the long winter, though.

I'll take the long winter in exchange for cooling off at night all summer. None of us do well in heat. It's also easier to add more layers than strip off layers. (No, Alex, I don't mean birds, but clothes)

You are very kind! I apologize if it sounded as a complaint for not being allowed enough luggage, that was certainly not the case. I was reminding myself of a lady I saw at the paris-nice easy jet boarding gate, where you're allowed only one cabin bag of standard size, and she was had five or six that took up as much volume as she did and probably weighed more.

Hello There

Glynda and Èowyn are getting acquainted through the run wire this morning.

They actually gave me a couple of 2fer besties pics this morning

Nox and Belladonna keep roosting together (slightly unusual as Nox heads off with either the adventurous Littles or around the fringes of the adults while Belladonna plays shy and stays close to the Russian olive trees)

Blanche and Thing never roost together, but have hung out together much of the time since they were fluffy chicks.


And a pullet/hen size comparison (Nox and Mera started growing comb/wattles but are still pink rather than red so couple weeks away from POL)
