You do need that senior roo to teach everyone else. Hopefully you can keep Cheetah around for a while.1 older roo, help raise the younger....problem, keep losing older roo.
Roo history:
Buster: Silver laced wyandotte, raised with Silver, killed/taken by fox family just before big/late snow storm. Put up a fight as feathers were everywhere. (2 years old)
Rusty: poorly colored Jersey Giant (beautiful boy, in profile pic), raised with Pear, killed by marauding dog, again kicked up fight. (10 months old when Buster killed, 13 months when killed) (brother Raven rehomed a month before Buster killed, currently king of his tribe, defended against dog (different dog) attack long enough for owners to get out there and remove dog, backed up by juveniles:new Hampshire (now has own tribe) and 2 polish, still there)
Cheetah, raised with rest of adult girls, 13 weeks old when Rusty killed, currently 14 months old. (If he makes it through next summer, we should be doing well)
Hector, Horus (son of Cheetah and Nellie), Whiskey, Kren (W&K sons of 3/4 year old roo and hens from MIL tribe so hopeully inheirited some of the survival wisdom): junior roos hopefully learning how to be good boys, currently going through the "randy idiot" phase, ages 20 weeks and 12 weeks.
