He is a much better size for certain. My Roos didn’t get along together, and pangoo over bred my silkies, and would beat up Henny Penny as she hated him.
Hopefully Mr Pompei will be better with the wee ones - he is all feathers and no weight at all!!
Poor baby.Well it happened, wee Marty tried to get down from the window this morning, she made it to the high roost, then she leapt into the wide open space aiming for the next lower roost and plop (more like splat) missed it - not even close!
And you know me - big freak out! But she took off out the doorway to go eat and dig in fresh horse poop so guess she is ok
So no more roosting up high for her. And she is hating me picking her up as she is all Pin feathers with molting….
Poor wee Marty

I have moved my temporary mesh fencing so that I can put Mr Pompei outside tonight - there will be a 10’ gap between his little paddock and the gals new run. Look but not touch, no lice will be able to traverse 10’ I hope
Will get pics tonight, hope it goes ok - I am the worst worry wort.
So can I actually! This is exciting. It will be nice to see him outside. Remember.......HE CAN FLY REALLY WELL.
Someone is well trained and it’s Phyllis doing the training I think!Someone has been Sneaking Chickens into My House.
I came out of my office unexpectedly the other day and I found these on the floor in the dining room.

Clearly someone had been shooed out before they could finish. Then yesterday I caught the culprit red beaked.

Of course that was no surprise. With me however came Enzo. He of course was curious as to what this was in his house.
Phyllis and Enzo started circling each other. I did not get great video of that but you can imagine it from the photos and the video catches it just as they do the circling.

Once it reached the point in the video where they were no longer moving, I was getting concerned that Enzo might actually get hurt and so I broke it up and ushered Phyllis outside.
I have a strong feeling that this has been going on for some time.
I know! Didn’t I compliment you? I did say you flew better that MartySo can I actually!(Just saying)
Yep I have been worrying about that! But hoping that like the rest of them he won’t try to fly over the netting, and if he does he runs towards the ladies and not the bush!!!!This is exciting. It will be nice to see him outside. Remember.......HE CAN FLY REALLY WELL.
Ya those feathers look both awesome and evil…. I am trying to refrain from touching her as she scream blue murder! And of course I jump back - I think now she has me trained hahaha she sees me she screams I jump back….Poor baby.![]()
