But dammit I’m turning 60!! Sorry I cussed
I remember when I turned 25! I said to myself I am going to be a quarter of a century old! Amazing and terrifying . Then I figured it was too much effort to worry about and I moved on - it’s been the same every year since. I marvel at how time goes by, but as I really have no control over time I worry about what i can control. Ensuring my pets are healthy and fed, taking time to admire the night sky, or dreaming about how to get rid of flies….. that one I am finding is like time, really not in my control.

Go up to the mountain, stop every now and again to admire something, posts photos of those things you admire, and breathe deeply.

The Battle is Joined

Phyllis breached the outer fence this morning. I missed who started it but her and Lady Featherington had brief scuffle. Necks were extended, feathers ruffled, jumping with feet out, and no one was hurt. I swear I saw Gucci run but I can't be certain. Phyllis pursued them into the big run and started eating their food. Then Phyllis started to pick at them again so I decided that was enough.

Here she is outside the barrier again.

I may have to bring down the barrier sooner than I had thought. It would be better if they had unlimited space to get away if breaches are going to continue.
I agree, better to be able to get out of the way. Nice to know they know how to get away!

Also once Phyllis has learnt to get over there she will continue to do so now, and before long the rest will follow!

The girls were more interested in Mr Pompei this morning

I knew Phyllis was going to press hard to maintain her place in the order. This is only the opening round. Clearly Lady Featherington, who is about Phyllis size, is not going to back down easily. I have no idea what Glynda or Betty for that matter will do.

I love seeing him out in the grass. This is good. You have given him a reason to be excited. He now knows there are ladies here with likely no man. Imagine what his dreams will be like when he sleeps tonight. 💤
