Hahaha

Who knows?? My sister is all freaked out mum is sick, told her to get tested 😳

I told mum why bother, it’s not going to cure ya, just wear you mask and hide in your room so I don’t get sick…

She told me to wear a mask and hide in the barn…

I countered by telling her na nana na na, you can’t go to the casino…. That’s when I made a hasty retreat to the barn yesterday 😆

Now karma has fated that I too shall be ill for teasing her ha!

Good thing I am working from home tomorrow! I can once again hide in the barn pretend to work, and play with the chickens and ponies 🐔.

And I can whine all I want to the chickies 😊 they will still luv me ❤️
Just don’t give your ponies the Covid!

Ugh - what a depressing thought that they might be moving in permanently. There is lots of territory for them a couple of miles on, I hope they like that better!
It may not be permanent, if that gives you some hope. I can report that the Red-Tail hawk that killed Queenie and attacked Butters three times last year has not been around this year, or at least did not stay if it was here. I would think that it would have hung around for chances at the others. The aviary netting does pretty well eliminate a chance unless it wanted to try to attack someone close to it, along the base where it meets the ground. The Buckeyes are out of the netted area only when we are out and about with them. I don't know why but that hawk is gone. Crows nested near us (but did last year too).

My brother got him from Petco. They told him when he got him home he needed to let him be in his cage for a few hours to adjust. He has already named him "Happy". I got no say in helping choose a name. He reminded me I have 30 chickens, he just has 1 bird. He is just over 6 months old, one of the certificates has his hatch date on it. He was hatched 2/10/22. Conveniently a day before Ezzie's hatch date. His cage will stay in his room, but once he adjusts and settles I'm allowed to take him all over the house. We will share him as he puts it. He told me he thought "Happy" would help me with the loss of daddy and Ezzie. I guess he has been planning on getting a bird for a while now but they never had the right one when he would go check. This variety of conure is supposed to be the quietest one and the smallest. I'm right now reading everything I can find about them. I personally wanted a bird but I was leaning towards Indian Ringnecks and Goffin Cockatoos. Happy will not have a huge vocabulary, but they can learn a few words and phrases. I will see that he imitates my boys crow someday. I will simply bring Branch in and let him do the rest.

Meet Happy.

Hi Happy! Welcome to the community tribe! So cute! 🥰

I warned him! If he bites my toes one more time, I’ll bring him into the big coop with me. Well, he did, so I did! And be assured that waddles will be rubbed! :old :hugs
I had to laugh at this although it also makes me a bit sad. During his last 2 weeks Ezzie had developed a one sided love affair with my boots. Only my boots, he did not care for my tennis shoes. I could walk outside in them and no matter how far away he was if he spotted them he came running. Every time I would snatch him up and snuggle him and stroke and massage his crop which he loved. I miss that little guy so much. Honestly, it seems my favorites are the ones that something ends up happening to that I want to pull back a bit from some of them. Branch will not let me though, he demands his snuggles and I will give them.
