Inky got along with everyone yesterday and today during free range time.

Inky and GINGER

Buuuuuut, just when I thought things were going well, at the end of free ranging today, Ginger initiated another attack towards Inky. I have so many bushes/plants in certain area that chickens got to Inky way faster than I could. Again they piled up on Inky and peck ☹️
So I asked my friend if she wants Ginger. She said yes and already took Ginger tonight! She has a rooster so I imagine Ginger can be well handled there. She said I can have Ginger back in a couple days if I want to 😂 .

With Ginger gone, we put Inky back to the run around dusk and Inky got into the coop no problem. All good so far!
I sure hope that this solves your problem and brings Inky some piece. She is a beautiful hen. 😍

I warned him! If he bites my toes one more time, I’ll bring him into the big coop with me. Well, he did, so I did! And be assured that waddles will be rubbed! :old :hugs

I had to laugh at this although it also makes me a bit sad. During his last 2 weeks Ezzie had developed a one sided love affair with my boots. Only my boots, he did not care for my tennis shoes. I could walk outside in them and no matter how far away he was if he spotted them he came running. Every time I would snatch him up and snuggle him and stroke and massage his crop which he loved. I miss that little guy so much. Honestly, it seems my favorites are the ones that something ends up happening to that I want to pull back a bit from some of them. Branch will not let me though, he demands his snuggles and I will give them.
Not having Ezzie is hard, I know. Just keep loving Branch. :love

No I haven’t yet but Id like to. I actually have a phenomenal sandy dusty dirt area under the lean to attached the coop that will become their run. I just cant get out there at the moment I broke my ankle and have been on non weight bearing status for the last 6 weeks! Ill see if my husband will put some in a couple of boxes for them when he gets home and some sod too. Both are fantastic ideas. :)
Oh, no! I hope it is mending well! Don't push it too quick, as you don't want to affect it's healing (trust me, you will regret it later if you do). :fl Well wished for a quick andsuperior heal!

We will see how it goes tomorrow morning, but I have a good feeling.

She is very beautiful, and is doing really well during molting and lays the most beautiful eggs lately. I can see her new feather is coming in nicely. I always say she is my only "normal" chicken as she takes breaks on laying, and gets broody way too often.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, I will give Inky to my friend and take Ginger back. I know this way is fine for sure.

I already miss Ginger though :-( She adds a lot of (good) excitement to us.

The head says that it can't always be our favorite but the heart disagrees. :hugs :hugs
