If you find out, let me know. Mine do that a fair amount. I think it is used on 2 occasions, but, honestly, not sure.Went out this morning to do some trimming. Hopefully more of them can now fit under here and still enjoy the coverView attachment 3234355View attachment 3234357The trimmings from the deck got taken out the other side of the carport and dumped on top of some of the tall weeds. We'll see if the weeds keep the brush pile up or if I need to get more creative. Then some time in the coop. Hector and his girls are now 24 weeks old.
no idea what the sound he makes at the end means.
1) a warning/watch for maybe trouble. This one tends to be not too loud and with birds (usually smaller birds).
2) I'm not happy and want to assert my authority! Louder than the other occurance - when a Roo is trying to show 'leadership'/importance after another Roo has crowed...but that roo is junior to the one who crowed and doesn't want crowing Rooster to come and fight nor take junior roos 'girls'.
If you notice, Hector is showing ladies nest boxes & talking to them. Loud (growl is what I call it!) growl by Hector after other Roo crows. - brings attention of 'his girls' back to him. My hypothesis, anyways based on my Roos.
