Roosters running in fear from hens is dear to my heart.

Or for that matter getting beat up by them. 🤣

This was incredible! She wasn't joking around. I can see that she ruled by fear!
Thanks, this was as bad as the worst flu I have had, the worst is this sore throat now, trying to move into my sinuses.

And of course not having my barn cams is irritating. Ok well it’s now 00:30hrs here and I am starting to wane again. Back to bed for me.
I hope you're doing a little better today! And don't want to be a pain in the b... but I checked our governmental health page for COVID and it still says to avoid NSAID for COVID, as there is a suspicion it makes it worse for some people 😬. I know, it could be lots of other things...do make sure you stay hydrated and check your fever.
So happy to see Lulu up bright and early and having a refreshing sip of clean water.
She is looking good today and didn’t get up in the middle of the night.
Happy Thirsty Thursday everyone!

Best news of thirsty Thursday 💚!

I'm ashamed to ask so I'm putting this at the very end 😉...what does koffee klatch means ?

Been getting special electric out to the poultry netting for the Fall. Wanted it to be moveable, as I'm not sure where or how far into the winter I'll keep the fencing going this year. Too much shade with low sun, combined with rainy days, I end up hauling the solar energizer in and out to charge. Two hours figuring out I had the wall wart plug wire reversed in polarity, now all is good. Pic showing a cut-out switch by the fencing, wanted one out there. The link to the fence is not clipped on yet.

Popcorn dustbathing, all by herself. They don't let her in to the group bath. I feel sad about that! When Queenie was around she was in, but lately they keep her out. So she's taking hers early while the others were still foraging.

Everybody foraging in the back earlier this morning, just outside the aviary netting. This area I'm going to net at some point.

So great to see them all! 🥰 The electrical fence project is always interesting to me. So you have switched to hard wire it instead of solar for the winter, right? Are you running an extension cord to the outlet box?

I may be remembering wrong, but didn't you worm them quite recently? I am wondering if it might be a dead worm that passed out of her as a result of you giving them the worm medicine?
@Marie2020 this is what I was thinking and why I asked when you last wormed them.

Maybe she's just so weak and tired by the end of day? I imagine every day is a big effort for her. 😴 : 😴
Could be true. But she was in the run and left to go outside. I'm not a big fan of that decision. Of course we got to sit, have a talk, and then she got placed back into her favorite spot in the Cluckle Hut with the others.
