It’s official. 8/31/2022 is the day of the worst headache I have had all year (including hospital stay) and I don’t know what might be causing it. I’m going to try and get some rest, take a nap. But wow does it hurt!

When a bad one strikes me the only thing that helps is a dark room and a ice pack over my eyes and one at the back of my head.

Okay, so I am going with Barred Rock or Dominique, I don't think it is a Cuckoo Marans given the face coloring, but can't completely rule that out. I didn't get a good enough look at the comb area...but within a week or two you will probably be able to tell if it is a BR or Dominique by the comb, particularly if it is a boy, as they pop sooner. @rural mouse - do you agree with my assessment, or am I missing something?

I had a Dominique in the assortment (Nika was killed by the dog). Cuckoo and Nika were identical but for the comb in the beginning. That comb looks like a straight comb, so I'm saying barred rock.

Diana and Bernadette are having a serious discussion about roosting spots. Eventually Bernie conceded that she had no right to Diana’s spot.

My husband has done all the deconstruction and dirt moving and will build in a few days and I will start the process of moving em outside. I will miss their chirping in my living room but I am excited to see them in their new home soon!

Thinking this girl standing up I believe is a Swedish Isbar as she has no feathers on her feet and looks like what is described as a splash (not so good with feather patterns yet)

She is splash. Both the first 2 pics are boys. The crested one: pullet

As tiny chicks, pea vs rose is almost impossible to tell apart. Straight vs either pea or rose is pretty simple
