Thankfully I just had supper, bbq steak, broccoli and potatoes.

Mine were a bit disgusted at me today - I had shredded carrot leftovers. Not a fan favorite!

Sadly, I think that Jaffar’s eyesight is failing slowly. He’s not as accurate in pecking at Feed as he was last year. Doesn’t matter anyways. I have him, and he has me! And that’s what really counts!

I am so glad he has you for his elder years. Caring for an elderly pet is hard work but you’re doing a wonderful job.

Yes mine only like whole carrots.

Unless they are cooked, in that case they love carrots any which way

I never saw lamb while I was there. They did have chicken there and German Shepherd farms.

It has become very clear that Momma is not bringing the chicks out today. That is fine, I'll just come under the floor again this time armed with a headlamp and get my pictures. It is also clear now that I've stared at them both they are easily distinguishable. The first chick has more brown hues and the 2nd "lucky" chick is blacker and smaller.

I'm also loving all the suggested names. But, after getting a closer look at them and seeing how one is a chocolatey brown I'm tempted to call them Kit and Kat.

Oh my goodness soooo cute I see yes one is chocolatey, so maybe Kit and Kat.

Everyone has chickens

I find it amazing how far flung chickens have spread around the world - and how many varieties that all come in!

Gave chickens and chicks watermelon today. Boy did they eat that up.

I haven't been on much today. I've seen the chickens while I was awake but slept most of the day until 5 pm. The chicks and chickens are doing great. Integrating them should be interesting. I'm not feeling well my degeneration in my lower back has been very painful today. My scoliosis and arthritis isn't bothering me though. My neck is another story it always hurts.

The chocolate one looks much like Whiskey did as a chick....down color, no other comparisons meant...
