I'm so happy to hear this. It's not always easy to preserve wildlife and human cohabitation, but in this case I really couldn't see what damage the feral chickens were doing!

I love this picture, the expressions on their faces are very significant of their personnality. Can you remind me how old they are now ? Unlike @Ponypoor I'm not good with numbers !

I'm not bored, I loved reading this. He sounds much nicer than my adult rooster (that I also love , even when he's a pain). You know when they say some pets and owners grow similarities ? I think you two really found each other.

Perfect twofer!

Ok, maybe not smaller, but same size. This morning they had one of these moments when two chickens stay still very close for a few minutes, seems like one showing something to the other and asserting dominance. My rooster Théo does it with the hens, but sometimes the hens do it together too. You can see the size comparison.

Thanks Manue 🤨

Hahaha

I can count to 13 IF the chickens all stand still and don’t move around - otherwise I have to start afresh counting 😁

They are not idiot government. They just know how to control people well.

So which one is the heritage BR? The one on the right? But I feel the one on the right has the more common look.
Yes, the one on the right. Honestly, for having bought 'heritage BRs', she is my worst example - lots of flaws to specks. But I love her and she is the one who went Broody, so I wanted a pic of her. The 'real/fake' is party an ongoing joke with @featherhead007 and @BY Bob . Although she was hatched on site by a production BR (the one on the left), she looks more like a cuckoo marans in colouring.
