Well, if he was like the latter image, clearly you wouldn't need to do any trimming. So, maybe Brylcreem is the answer? Richard will be so disappointed.

Um, you gave them a 'step ladder', then wondered why one used it to escape??? That roost there is a PERFECT chickie/chicken step ladder. Trust me, I know this all too well!

But Hades doesn't use that he only lets the hens up there. He stays down below and keeps watch. He probably flew from the brooder plate to the cardboard. (he does that a lot)

Yes, the one on the right. Honestly, for having bought 'heritage BRs', she is my worst example - lots of flaws to specks. But I love her and she is the one who went Broody, so I wanted a pic of her. The 'real/fake' is party an ongoing joke with @featherhead007 and @BY Bob . Although she was hatched on site by a production BR (the one on the left), she looks more like a cuckoo marans in colouring.

Even fake chickens need love too!

Well, we are dealing with the Rhinovirus only thankfully. In saying that, it is kicking her butt. She had me up half the night rubbing her back and legs from the body aches. I will say last year when I had the rhinovirus it almost had me hospitalized, covid was a piece of cake compared to it.

Well, we are dealing with the Rhinovirus only thankfully. In saying that, it is kicking her butt. She had me up half the night rubbing her back and legs from the body aches. I will say last year when I had the rhinovirus it almost had me hospitalized, covid was a piece of cake compared to it.
