Let me try to explain about Jaffar my rooster.
1. Without any feathers, he’d be about the same size of a large grapefruit.
2. He always seems to understand what I tell him.
3. The family I got him from, must have loved him a lot (he responds to that kind of attention.
4. He does prefer to be near me as much as possible.
He’s very dedicated to his ladies (and will fight to the death to protect them) he has survived dog attacks as proof of that.
5. If given a bath, he quietly enjoys the soft feeling of soaking in the tub (but doesn’t like the noise of a hair dryer much.
6. He responds positively to any stimulus that I show interest in. (Music especially)
7. Some crazy reason, he loves WW2 Marine corps movies and (Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho) and will stare at the screen to watch them.
8. It never fails, that he goes hungry, because he’s always tidbitting his food to his ladies. (I bring him inside and feed him without distraction)
9. He’s very attentive when he feels that it’s time to go back out to see his ladies. (And tells me so)
10. He’s a troublemaker, but that’s just his personality. (I wouldn’t want it any other way)
:love
I am explaining all of this, because if he was to pass away, I would be too devastated to even share my feelings with you good people.
I have so much more to say about Jaffar, but I have bored you all, enough already. Thanks for reading. :hugs

I for one will never tire of hearing stories or seeing pictures of Jaffar. If anyone on here understands my connection to Branch and in the past Drummie and Ezzie it is you. My hens are special in their own right, but, when a rooster truly loves you all can see it. A good boy is simply that all the time, a good boy. They never are temperamental like a broody hen, or one needing to lay a egg. Branch likes tv as well, our thing though is crime documentaries and Investigation Discovery is our favorite channel. If only I could get him into liking to watch baseball with me, he will have none of it. He is also my bad luck charm when it comes to playing cards. Tried it, got the worst beating of my life against mom.

You did it all wrong! A rooster can pack aces under his wings! Winner every time! (If you know how to cheat at cards) far as baseball, I don’t even like baseball that much either.

Neighbor altercation today. I’m not making this stuff up: Jaffar was upset about something, and I went outside to investigate. Neighbor was teasing the hens and throwing rocks at the chooks. I ran outside and pointed my 357 magnum straight at his head. Then told him to back away and go back home. I’m waiting for a visit from the local authorities (so I can explain myself)

I don’t suggest you try this yourself at home. I have many points of evidence against this neighbor (but maybe you don’t) be careful with firearms
