New Ways to catch my Attention

I've written here about how patient Hattie is when I'm eating. Normally she quietly stands next to my chair staring at me until I give her some of what I'm eating. Well she tried something new today.

It was a sunny day today and it was almost warm enough to eat outside, so I did. That drew a crowd. I think Hattie was getting bumped too much so she found another place to wait she no one would bother her. Check it out.

She foisted under the table and waited. I could see her through the glass table top. It was weird putting my fork on top her head.

So of course I rewarded this silly behavior with first dibs on my plate.

What a sweetheart.

Did you notice that they have Princess names too WhoDat? It took me a bit before I realized.

Sounds like my usual outdoor lunches. Many birds, waiting for a peck of my sandwich.

OK, it's an officially weird day today. I just got back from the barn/coop, and Ben wanted a hug. Rocks-Anne wanted to lap sit, 19 others won't come down from their perches. Blu is usually the first for food but not today. Jaffar is being a butt, so I separated him from the hens.
I usually have 3-4 phone texts by now while I feed the birds, but no. The rest are all eating and drinking, but the nesting boxes are empty. Yes, it's gonna be a weird day i'm guessing!
