Nahh, you’re a good person, Alex. But that was another good joke!I’m pretty sure that they won’t let me in heaven after all the crazy jokes that I throw around here on BYC!![]()
Aw, poor girl. How is she doing abd how hot is it there?I just finished filtering off 5 gallons of pear cider and it's not too bad. I'm going to try a different yeast next time though.
Booze tax: Poofy Sr, a great mama hen. Not sure but I think the heat got her.View attachment 3289357
Sorry RC but “quadruped Sunday” just doesn’t have the same ring to it as “pony sunday” even if some of those pony’s woof or have horns… or are of the “giant land Chicken” breedThank you for sharing. It brought tears to my eyes just reading your story.
If you find pictures I am sure we would love to see some here.
We focus Sunday for horses (well any quadruped really) but we love seeing them any day of the week really.

This is how my raccoons and I have a truce. They can eat feed, as long as they leave my chickens alone… but with a bag of laying pellets now at $22 each, and Scratch at $26, l may have to cut them off a little more. (I take all my feeders and secure them in garbage bins or totes at night, but usually there’s some spillage)Today I went into the coop to check for eggs and saw a vole! At least it had the decency to run out the pop door when it saw me.
My husband set up a snap trap under an overturned milk crate, so that the chickens wouldn't inadvertently get hurt.
Then I went out to get the hens' food from the run during the break time for my evening Zoom French class and there was a grey jay gorging itself on the layer feed!
If it's not animals trying to eat my chickens, it's animals trying to eat my chickens' food (which is admittedly better)!
I just can’t believe how expensive things are getting lately! This is how my raccoons and I have a truce.
