My crazy lot would just hop right in & fling everything around the yard ~ just like they do with the tubs. :(
As I thought about how I would build it, the picture of Aurora standing in the middle of the table knocking anyone else who tried to get some of the food onto the ground came into my mind. I am now afraid someone might get hurt.

Maybe I will hold off on building one.............

My friend just sent this to me... her hubs made hers and she is getting him to make me one as a thank you for helping her build her coop... all by pics and advice... isn’t that sweet! I’m so excited! View attachment 2140391
That's awesome. Very exciting.

How is the broody forecast for today? Is it still clearing up?

Well... Rosemary who had quit looks to be going back :he.. Cutie.. the jail break... finally broke  ... and Sunny and Lil Red still going strong... Tunie seems to be done for now:fl
So 2.5 broodies? Not too bad. Certainly better then before.

Oh.. that sounds cool... I just asked hubs if we have that here  ... he said... not that I know of ... he wanted to know how long it lasts?

It's not Australia-wide, they're pretty local but they may deliver around the state and territories. Not sure how long it lasts; quite a long time I would think. I've also used solar-shield paint on ours to make it last longer too.

Wood shavings!? Why River, why?

I tipped out their bedding onto the ground as it becomes part of the deep litter, and she was actually pecking at the pile and I could see her munching! She had plenty to eat yesterday so I don't know why she felt the need to eat wood shavings. Her crop was empty this morning so that was good. They've got ACV water today.

One of our cats also likes to eat half a tissue if she comes across it. You can't leave a box of tissues lying around, she eats the top half! :barnie

Would Aurora not behave like a lady at a chicken tea-party? ;)

Some of mine will eat at the pine shavings that drop down too...
