We’ve got a really good solution; Waxwood. It’s wood that’s been infused with wax and protects it from the elements. Much better than arsenic or chrome.
Oh.. that sounds cool... I just asked hubs if we have that here  ... he said... not that I know of ... he wanted to know how long it lasts?

I’m waiting for mine to kick in so it could still be a couple of weeks.

So I scrambled River an egg the other day and mixed a bit of Greek yoghurt through it. I separated her from the other four; she had one little beakful and ignored the rest! When I let the other four out of the run, they wolfed it down! She watched them so I’m hoping that told her it was edible. And yesterday I watched her actually eat wood shavings! :barnie I’ve read that can give them an impacted crop, how on earth do I stop her doing that?!
Wood shavings!? Why River, why?

My friend just sent this to me... her hubs made hers and she is getting him to make me one as a thank you for helping her build her coop... all by pics and advice... isn’t that sweet! I’m so excited!

It's been a disgusting day weather wise. The mist from the night rain hardly got off the ground.
Every time I went to do something outside it poured.
On the bright side Fat Bird appeared this morning and decided that spending the day with me was her best option. She spent a lot of the day sat by my feet as I worked on the lamps with occasional forays to the food tray and some halfhearted begging when I ate.
Tap and Moon came and went. Treacle came by for his cuddle of course. He was soaked.:(
Tribe 1 went off to roost at least two hours earlier than usual.
I carried Fat Bird home at dusk.

What a nice friend. That would make a nasty day so much more bearable. It was nice of you to take her home

UPDATE: The driver of the car that killed the little boy on his bicycle, was caught, and is safely behind bars. He was drinking and driving, killed one boy, and injured another. The other boy is in hospital, but didn't receive any life threatening injuries.
I was very worried, because the family I got Jaffar, (my new roo) from, Has a son that age! 15yrs old I called the family, and it didn't involve them, THANK GOD!:bow
No excuse, just no excuse. That's awful. I'm glad they got him.
