I gave my chickens a can of salmon with their mash snack today. One of them has a bare back that is FINALLY sprouting feathers, and she's the one who gets picked on the most. So I carried one of the pans of mash into the coop for her specifically. She ate a good helping.

I prefer the painted ones you have in your yard.

My tires are just leftover trash, painted to look good. They can make ok planters, maybe even dust bath areas. The chooks kinda leave them alone (unless scratching for bugs)

I rolled my own sushi today! Yum
The chooks got some rice, avocado and cucumber. I used up all the crab I had. I also had salmon . The price of crab legs is skyrocketing.

Yes! I too am renovating the barn - and finding things that previous generations of folk have hoarded too!

I've been doing the same with the cellar and will be washing out a very old pickling jar tomorrow!

I’m entertaining a guest today. This is “Flash” and she’s been mean to the other chickens lately. I wanted to find out why. She just wanted a little Daddy and Me time. (She also purrs) she’s acting all snuggly with me.

These senior living people know how to party. I was at a "reception" last night. Yowza! They do not throw these types of parties at acute care hospital meetings anymore.

This is the fear I had when I decided not to let Maleficent set. I have always questioned that decision but after this, I do not. It gets much colder here earlier than when you are. I'm so glad you were able to save the little ones. I hope you were able reward yourself and relieve some stress. Perhaps with an adult beverage or to two.

Having pets is not for the faint of heart, and esp if raising youngsters with them!
