You home yet? It only early there for you..

Look what I have been up to all weekmaking sure each egg has the hen’s name on it.

Long story for another day.You are never going to sell people on green eggs and ham. I tried. It can’t be done!
I really love these last two photos! Calendar worthy! Or print them up and hang them side by side? Just wonderful! It's another beautiful day here, with 25° and clear blue skies... and no rain forecast for the next two weeks.
I loved seeing the pictures and videos of the new chicks. At that age, they are definitely cuter than human babies!
Molting : I don't have many seasons to compare. The first fall they were here, our six ex-batts didn't molt, and the next year we had one hard molt after Vanille had been very ill at the end of September, and Nougat molted in December but it barely showed, though she was acting very off for a month.
This year we have a crazy molt. It started with Cannelle at the end of August, then Chipie and Théo, and also the four younger chickens who had just got on their adult feathers. It's far from over and Cannelle has the worse of it. They began loosing head feathers, then tail feathers, then wings, and now the body and neck. My other ex-batts are also molting, but not as badly.
I can't wait for it to be over. Like it happened with Maggie I hate not knowing if they are acting off because of the molt or if there is something else.
Thirsty pictures:
I didn't manage to catch it on camera but Gastounet spills water every where when he drinks.

I just love it. I think they do, too! You have a pretty singing voice and a warm, friendly speaking voice.Dirty ol’ day here
Raining, dreary, so I dragged out the mandolin, I play worthand scared poor Mr P so figured I would stick to singing
(Supposed to be Dirty Ol Town)
Can’t carry a tune in a bucket! LOL! That is a good one! I had not heard it.I'm envious because most everyone in my family is musically talented. My daughters have a wall full of awards from playing piano. My dad and most of my cousins played and sang bluegrass music. I can't carry a tune in a bucket.![]()
