Diana seems to be showing off to Bernadette.
This is a leap the Roadrunners made easily and surprisingly Bernadette can too. But I have never seen Diana attempt it. And when she is molting too.
I almost can’t bear to watch.

Awesome! Good job girls! That’s a good leap/flap!

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to put that together 💚, it is really creative. Are you the kind of person who like to organize spaces and who's good with logistics by any chance ? It's too finalized for where I'm at, though. I think I need first to make a list of our requirements, limitations and possibilities, to help me get a clearer view of what we need exactly, in regard to what's feasible. Once I get to post this, I may ask you again your opinion 😁. I'm so terrible at that kind of thing ( material organisation) I wonder how I ever managed to do my previous job. I guess I was good at making competent people do the work for me ? 🤣

I'm sorry that Rosie's so sick, on top of all that's going on with your grandma. But I love that she will only eat the beef soup you make 🥰. I hope you're not too worried.
We're having a situation with RSV in France where children's hospitals are completely overwhelmed - they're having to send dozens of kids to the other sides of the country in the medicalized trains they made for COVID. Doctors have been warning throughout all summer this would happen, to no avail.

Out of subject and nearly politic statement tax : in the past week Gastounet has caught up on the hormone wagon! He now crowes, tidbits, mates Piou-piou, and keeps his hens safe. The only funny thing about his dreadful relation with Théo is that they now have crowing contest. I love it! Here is a clip of one of his first successful try.
Wow, what a great crow for one of his first!! Mine all sound like Kazoos when they first start crowing (he, he...I love that sound. Funny and kind of endearing at the same time!)

I am really upset with work today. I am so upset that I can't concentrate on the millions of things (all work related) that I need to do. So I decided to post some chicken pictures.

Art by chickies (very spooky isn't it)

It is a good crow!

I've recently bought eggs (free range) they were round? What does that mean?
That those particular chickens lay roundish eggs. That is all it means!

I have chickens that lay roughly tear/rain drop shaped eggs (Mostly my DC girls), I have some that lay the pretty ubiquitous shaped eggs, I have some that lay almost round eggs (have to really look to figure out which is the 'pointy' end and which is the 'air sac' end. I also have a couple of EE girls that lay somewhat elongated eggs.....and one girl that roughly once a week (well, before moult, right now she isn't laying at all) laid what I called 'cigar' eggs., lol!🤷‍♀️ Each hen is different.

I still think the dark one is a golden wyandotte. The chippy behind it in the 1st 2 pics has a rose comb too. That ones a bit of a puzzler. There aren't many reddish toned breeds with rose combs...
If I remember correctly, it was a 'random assortment', yes @ValarieF ? It might be a Dark Cornish. They have pea combs and can be chipmunkie colored. The ones that have more 'brown' in their plumage as adults can look a bit reddish as chick (the brown is a reddish brown)s. That was my first thought looking at the one you pointed out! I could well be wrong, but it isn't a far fetched idea, given the colouring of DC chicks I have gotten (or hatched out here)
