The work stuff sounds like it sucks - but great chicken photos, and I love the chicken art.

Thanks. The terrible part was I kinda lead someone to think that something nice would happen, but I let him down despite my best effort. He hasn't replied to my emails :-(
(I suppose I was too naive. My colleagues want to hire mediocre people like themselves, not competent ones.)

Diana seems to be showing off to Bernadette.
This is a leap the Roadrunners made easily and surprisingly Bernadette can too. But I have never seen Diana attempt it. And when she is molting too.
I almost can’t bear to watch.

Oh, I never had any doubt! Chickens are good mathematicians

, and clearly Diana was doing some quick calculating - sizing up the distance, launch height, wing speed needed...and, of course, her calculations were 'spot on' as they say (ta-da, nailed a perfect landing!)

@RoyalChick I saw this while looking for the GIFs above, and it made me think of you and Bernadette: (I can touch you....but you can't touch me!!!

And here we are , me and BoPeeps . 3 pound hen laying across my chest . But she’s easy to control, not like the other ones. Jaffar is here too. Darn, does Bobo love to snuggle close! I’m hoping she doesn’t give me any hickees!

Now that all the chicks are 2 weeks old it is now time for me to take 100s of pictures to scrutinize for signs of combs and wattles. They zip around so fast in real life it is impossible to tell on some of them.

So far I am thinking
2 girls

Boy, girl, girl

In person, the comb is all orange, but in this pic I see some pink darn it.

Blue girl, black girl, the brown 2, not sure yet.

Jury is still out, either way it is very opinionated.
