Hattie is Mad at Me

We were all over on the patio this morning and Hattie would not come over. She stood over under the apple tree complaining. So I went over and picked her up and brought her to everyone. She is not speaking to me now despite the fact that she is having fun scratching around with them on new ground.

It's all my fault the fireworks have upset my girls and then I upset them again because it's been raining. I am really in their bad books

The cheeky girl in me wants to go down that road and make a comment….

But the old lady in me just gave me a whack on the back of the head and said behave….

Sooooo, sometimes better to be lucky than good.

If you had seen Glynda chase her around, happens every day, you would be less afraid of her.

Aurora is a miserable beast right now. She is attacking everyone. Unlike Hattie she does not sit and suffer in silence while molting. She is active and punishes everyone.

Buttercup was initially like that but these days she is hiding out, and now Blanche has decided to start moulting!

The rye grass i spread out last week is sprouting so hopefully the dead patches in our yard will start filling in. Going to find a less labor intensive way to spread the seeds next year. The walk behind spreader is hard on my back.

The good news is that Hattie seems to be right on her weight. I did not weigh her but she feels solid like she should.

Two for Drama

Both Misty and Whiskers are very annoyed I removed the animal crates in the shavings room. They need to start laying eggs in the Hen House and that’s it!
