I think it should be the deeper, 'eggplant purple' if you go with purple. That said, it seems Mrs By Bob has some good aesthetics, so you could probably throw all the possible options at her...and she will immediately discard many she feels are unworthy, and thoughtfully ponder the remaining! I am sure whatever she selects will look lovely. (and, the great thing about paint is that, if she decides it really doesn't work...next year can be repainted.....)You may be too hip for me.
