WOW JUST WOW!Haven't posted much over the last few days. Between work and keeping everyone warm, haven't extra time. As of this morning, the chickens are getting VERY vocal. They're none too happy about staying in the coop. I've been opening the hatch for them before going to work, but based upon the lack of bird tracks, they haven't been venturing forth. Temps have ranged from just below 0F (-17 to -20c range) to upper 20sF (maybe -2C). Feathers are coming FAST, and it looks like no more are dropping beyond any that were already loosened. No bird pics, but some other interesting shots from the cold.

And those wide open vistas!!! Stunning! Which is why I love Alberta in the winter (summer blah…)
Lastly sunrises and sunsets in the winter in the plains and foothills is AMAZING! Do you get those sun dogs? Where you get the halo around the sun?
