Misery misery misery

Because of my new pipeline project, I am being extremely cautious and not taking any medication that may show up on the D and A test I have to do Tuesday,

As a result since Friday night I have had some miserable nights, with my legs and arms ( yes I am one of those who’s RLS also includes arms jerking and spasms), add I. My arthritis in my
Feet and hands and it is a recipe for misery. And not sure why my right shin aches….

Aaaaaaaagggggggh!

Hang tough. Almost there. :hugs :hugs

Apparently I'm not the only one who pictures French hens with berets and cigarettes. I'm sorry @ManueB that seems to be the American stereotype.

I can only imagine how you all would picture an American hen.
🤣 I won't try to find that out and post it here. I fear I would get in trouble.
Between the American and the french people there is a lot of excessive fascination and contempt on both sides for the other, most of it coming from clichés. When I went to the US I felt some deep cultural differences though, like the meaning of religion, weapons, community.
Both the french and the american are a very divided people, but I guess that's true in many countries today.

We're also getting very few eggs, and my partner is upset that he can't have omelettes three times a week 🙂. The only hens laying on a regular basis are Blanche and now miss Piou-piou! I certainly don't mind that they stop laying, if they can live a bit longer thanks to that pause.
I'm kind of surprised to learn that many of you add electrical source of heat in winter. But I guess we are not talking about the same kind of cold : -8 c /17f is very cold where I live and I wouldn't dream of adding a heat source to my coop, but take ten degrees colder and it would make a huge difference.

Some mugs for today.

This one from Nougat is a bit hardcore from the molt therefore the spoiler. I never included molting butts in respect of the chicken's dignity but I think this face has an informative value 🤣. It's actually her least worse part, if you see what I mean.

Blanche. @Ponypoor you can see her brittle tail feathers. This is neither from molting or parasite.

Léa is a cautious pullet and very careful before plucking a bit of grass that it does not attack her.

They’re not venomous but they’re aggressive. One chased my dad across the road once! And yes, they are big. Not quite tarantula-big, but big enough. Charlie thought they were quite the delicacy though! :th
Glad I am not a spider! Need a photo of this brave Charlie 🥰

Morning Manue, yes that is like my nieces hens, she has no rooster so I have no idea why they are like that!

Love the photo of Lea - Penelope does that also, she has to contemplate every blade of grass before killing it and devouring it 😊!

It had no business being in my car!
Keep your windows up!

Here it’s hornets and wasps getting into one’s vehicle if you leave windows down…

Oh and don’t leave you truck door open at the barn when you’re unloading feed - invitation for those nosey chickies to hop in and try to drive off with Ol Blue! Fluffy McNugget get out of that truck! You better not poop on my seat!

Merle does look almost like she is drawn. Such a great expression.

They always look so grumpy when molting. Poor Nougat. 😥
